LCMC Health enters into Prime Vendor agreement with Medline

New Orleans-based non-profit health system invests in its supply chain with Medline

Medline announced a new multi-year Prime Vendor agreement with New Orleans-based non-profit health system LCMC Health.

Through the agreement, Medline will provide distribution services and supply chain expertise to help LCMC Health's eight hospitals, 10 emergency rooms and eight urgent care centres, which see nearly 1.7 million primary and speciality care clinic visits per year.

"At LCMC Health, we know that a strong, resilient supply chain is foundational to delivering high-quality care," said Joseph Thibodeaux, vice president of supply chain at LCMC Health. "Our partnership with Medline reflects a strategic investment in technology, efficiency and long-term sustainability. With enhanced inventory management and local distribution capabilities, we're not only strengthening our operational backbone, but we're also supporting better outcomes for the patients and communities we serve."

Medline's distribution warehouse in Hammond, La., which includes AutoStore robotics, will support the health system with supply distribution. Additionally, LCMC will have access to Medline's advanced analytics platforms to help monitor key metrics such as item use, contract compliance, price accuracy and spend by product category.

"We are honoured that LCMC Health chose to invest in Medline as a key part of their supply chain management," said Kristen Anderson, supply chain vice president, Medline. "Medline's dedication to technology advancements designed to improve inventory management, our expanded warehousing capabilities and our efficient supply chain and procurement processes are part of an exciting time for LCMC Health."
