Malaysia-based medical device firm Mediven partners with Caring Pharmacy Group

Medical Innovation Ventures Sdn. Bhd. (Mediven), a leading Malaysian-based medical device company, has collaborated with Caring Pharmacy Group to bring ProDetect, a locally manufactured brand, to the Malaysian market. ProDetect, designed to offer rapid and accurate immunoassay-based diagnostics kits, is now readily available at all Caring Pharmacy Group locations nationwide.

Mediven, known for its innovative medical devices, extends its product line beyond ProDetect, offering a range of molecular assays, supplements, general medical devices and other healthcare products. This collaboration underscores their dedication to advancing accessible healthcare solutions in Malaysia.

ProDetect is equipped to detect a wide range of SARS-CoV-2 variants, including but not limited to Alpha, Beta, Delta, Kappa, Gamma, Omicron strains including XBB 1.16, EG.5 and latest circulating J.N1. 

Last month, Mediven made a significant contribution by donating Sejoy Sars Cov-2 Antigen Saliva Lolly Test (Self Test) and Wondfo 2019-Ncov Antigen Test (Lateral Flow Method).
