Taiwan Excellence will showcase a range of smart healthcare, diagnostic and surgical technologies at Medical Fair Asia 2026 in Singapore as Taiwan strengthens its role as a MedTech innovation hub and expands partnerships across Southeast Asia.
Organised by Taiwan’s International Trade Administration and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion will run from 9 to 11 September 2026 at Marina Bay Sands under the theme “From Taiwan with Care – Activate the Future of Wellness.”
The pavilion will bring together 16 Taiwanese healthcare technology companies demonstrating solutions that combine the country’s information and communications technology capabilities with biomedical engineering.
The initiative comes as healthcare providers across Asia Pacific face pressure to expand capacity amid workforce shortages, ageing populations and rising demand for scalable digital tools.
Taiwan Excellence is positioning the technologies around practical healthcare delivery challenges across ASEAN, with applications spanning hospitals, clinics, diagnostics and care at home.
“The theme ‘From Taiwan with Care’ reflects our commitment to developing human-centric MedTech that directly addresses the region’s evolving healthcare needs,” said Megan Liu, Director of the TAITRA Singapore Office.
“By bridging Taiwan’s robust ICT infrastructure with biomedical expertise, we are delivering the precision tools necessary to overcome today’s complex clinical challenges.”
The pavilion will be organised into three specialised zones.
The Smart Hospital zone will feature technologies spanning ward automation, surgical robotics and hospital hardware infrastructure from companies including Advantech, Axiomtek, EPED, Joson-Care Enterprise, Taiwan Surgical Corporation and Wellell.
The Smart Clinic & Diagnostics zone will focus on portable screening, rapid biosensors and telemedicine solutions for outpatient care.
Participating companies include APEX Biotechnology, AVer Information, Energy Resources International, IBASE Technology and Transcend Information.
The Home & Preventive Care zone will showcase consumer-facing and preventive health technologies from Charder Electronic, DEMAI, Dr.Foot Technology, Gee Hoo Industrial and Sauber Technology.
Together, the three zones are intended to demonstrate how technology can support a continuum of care extending from hospitals to outpatient settings and patients’ homes.
TAITRA said the pavilion will also act as a platform for procurement discussions and longer-term supply-chain partnerships between Taiwanese companies and healthcare organisations across Southeast Asia.
The initiative aligns with the “Go Healthy with Taiwan” campaign, which encourages international companies and institutions to collaborate with Taiwan’s healthcare sector on smart health solutions.
Beyond product showcases, the pavilion will include an opening ceremony, live demonstrations from selected Taiwanese innovators, networking sessions and business matchmaking activities.
The broader objective is to strengthen cross-border relationships with distributors, hospital leaders, agents and academic partners while supporting the expansion of Taiwanese MedTech technologies into ASEAN markets.
As healthcare systems increasingly seek solutions that combine automation, connectivity and decentralised care, Taiwan’s integration of ICT capabilities with medical technology is becoming an important part of its regional healthcare strategy.
