X-Bolt Orthopaedics has been selected to exhibit its Pro-X1 Trochanteric Nail at the Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange. Vizient, the nation's largest provider-driven healthcare performance improvement company, will hold the Exchange Sept. 17 in Las Vegas.
The annual Innovative Technology Exchange offers selected suppliers the unique opportunity to demonstrate their product or service to supply chain and clinical leaders from Vizient's hospital clients and subject matter experts who serve on their supply councils. Each product or service will showcase how it improves clinical outcomes, enhances safety or drives incremental improvements to healthcare delivery or business models.
X-Bolt's hip fracture system adjusts to variable bone density using its patented expanding X-Bolt technology, providing stronger femoral head fixation than traditional lag screws. X-Bolt's expanding technology has demonstrated reduced reoperation rates in two large randomised controlled trials, underscoring its value to both patients and healthcare systems. Should removal become necessary, the same controlled expansion mechanism can be mechanically reversed — enabling precise extraction without compromising surgeon control.
"Being able to showcase the X-Bolt Pro-X1 at the Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange is an honour for us here at X-Bolt and represents a meaningful step as we bring Pro-X1 further into the US market. The ultimate stage for meaningful innovation in patient care," said Brian Thornes, Founder of X-Bolt. "It's an exciting opportunity to highlight how our expandable fixation technology is reshaping treatment outcomes and redefining what's possible in orthopaedic surgery."
