IHH Healthcare Singapore unveils Healthspan at FutureHealth. Now 2026

The launch includes AgeQ, a first-in-market biological age clinical assessment designed to provide early insights and guidance for healthier ageing.

IHH Healthcare Singapore (IHH SG) today announced its increasing focus on preventive health and longevity with the launch of Healthspan, a programme that will span across different facilities and will support individuals to live not just longer, but healthier and more fulfilling lives. The launch took place at FutureHealth. Now 2026, the flagship thought leadership event by parent company IHH Healthcare focused on the future of healthcare.

One of the early offerings of Healthspan is AgeQ, a first-in-market clinical assessment, which uses a proprietary longevity algorithm that analyses seven key blood biomarkers to estimate an individual’s biological (phenotypic) age relative to their chronological age. Operating on a human-led, technology-enabled philosophy, the assessment uses analytics to surface health patterns, while experienced physicians provide the clinical context and interpretation.

For IHH SG, Healthspan represents a shift from traditional episodic care to a proactive, continuous health management model, centred on early detection, personalised interventions, and long-term wellbeing. The initiative brings together IHH SG’s clinical expertise, data-driven insights, and multidisciplinary capabilities to support individuals across different life stages, connecting them seamlessly into an IHH care ecosystem comprising four private hospitals, over 50 clinics, and more than 1,500 specialists.

Live better, longer

While life expectancy continues to rise globally, including in Singapore, there is still a significant lag in the number of years lived in good health. Hospitals typically engage people when they are already unwell – care that is inherently reactive. Healthspan illustrates IHH SG’s effort to address this gap through a proactive focus on increasing the number of years individuals remain active, independent, and free from chronic disease. Even within disease-free years, Healthspan seeks to optimise individuals to be physically and mentally better, so that they can be more productive and lead even more fulfilling lives.

“We are living longer than our parents and grandparents, but the challenge is also for us to achieve longer number of years without illness and disabilities. To do that we need to proactively prepare and invest in our future health, even during earlier life stages. With Healthspan and AgeQ, we are shifting the focus of care upstream, from reactive treatment to proactive, predictive and personalised health management. By aligning scientific knowledge, clinical integration and person-centred approach, we can empower people to live better lives today, whilst also increasing both their lifespan and healthy span (healthspan). We aim to make proactive longevity care progressively more accessible and more integrated with everyday healthcare,” said Dr Peter Chow, Chief Executive Officer, IHH Healthcare Singapore.

Key features of Healthspan

As a clinically-led longevity and wellness programme, Healthspan brings together preventive screening, advanced diagnostics, clinical support and lifestyle optimisation within one integrated care journey within the IHH Healthcare network. Healthspan is guided by the LIFT framework (Learn, Interpret, Finetune and Track), which serves as core pillars of long-term wellbeing.

It begins with assessment and diagnostics, such as the AgeQ assessment i.e., a blood test that measures biological age using routine blood markers. By comparing these results with a massive database of over 300,000 individuals, it provides an AgeQ score that reflects overall body performance and functioning, offering individuals a clearer view of how their body is ageing beyond chronological age.

Healthspan then integrates these insights with a comprehensive suite of capabilities:

Baseline health profiling: In-depth assessments establish a comprehensive view of an individual’s current health status, combining advanced diagnostics with risk stratification to identify early signals of potential conditions.

Proactive risk identification and early intervention: Focus on detecting subtle health markers and deviations before disease onset, enabling timely, targeted interventions to delay or prevent chronic conditions.

Personalised care programmes: Tailored care pathways that evolve over time, aligned to each individual’s health risks, life stage and goals, ensuring relevance and continuity.

Multidisciplinary care integration: Coordinated access to a network of specialists across IHH SG’s facilities alongside allied health professionals in nutrition, exercise, psychology, and accountability coaching, delivered as a seamless, patient-centric experience.

Precision lifestyle optimisation: Data-informed recommendations spanning nutrition, fitness, sleep and mental wellbeing, supported by clinical guidance to drive sustainable behavioural change.

Continuous monitoring and dynamic insights: Ongoing tracking of health indicators with regular reviews, allowing individuals and clinicians to adapt interventions in real time and stay ahead of emerging risks.

Tailored programmes

Healthspan is designed to be accessible and meet people where they are on their health journey, but it is more than just a comprehensive set of screening options. As a broader philosophy of care, individuals can embark at different starting points and levels of assessment and continue to draw expert insights from specialised services from the Mount Elizabeth Novena Centre for Genomic Health and targeted programmes within our network of hospitals on their Healthspan journey.

Individuals can choose from five distinct screening experiences* (AgeQ, Vitals, Foundations, Explorer and Pioneer). Each provides different levels of diagnostic depth, clinical engagement and personalised intervention that is aligned to their health goals and informed by ongoing insights. The programme is anchored in the established trust of IHH Healthcare brands — Gleneagles, Mount Elizabeth and Parkway.

“Many proactive individuals have not had the opportunity to truly understand how they are ageing. Healthspan was developed to bridge this gap, helping people translate clinical data into personalised, actionable guidance to preserve their vitality, independence, and quality of life,” said Dr Kristine Xie, Clinical Director, Healthspan.
