Sky Medical Technology Partners with SMS Medical to Distribute Geko™ Device for Post-Orthopedic Surgery Care in the U.S.

The agreement aims to expand access to Geko™, a non-invasive device designed to reduce edema, prevent DVT, and improve recovery after orthopedic procedures.

Sky Medical Technology, a leader in bioelectronic medicine, has announced a distribution agreement with SMS Medical to offer the Geko™ device across the United States. This partnership aims to enhance post-operative care by providing a clinically proven solution for edema reduction, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) prevention, and overall recovery improvement following orthopedic surgery.

The Geko™ device, which is the size of a wristwatch and worn on the leg, uses neuromuscular electrostimulation to increase blood flow, mirroring the body’s natural movement. It offers a non-invasive, drug-free alternative to traditional methods, benefiting patients who may have contraindications to anticoagulants or compression therapy.

"We are thrilled to collaborate with SMS Medical, a company renowned for its commitment to innovative medical solutions," said Bernard Ross, Founder and CEO of Sky Medical Technology. "This partnership ensures that more healthcare providers in the U.S. can access the Geko™ device to support patient recovery and reduce post-surgical complications."

The agreement with SMS Medical aligns with Sky Medical Technology’s mission to deliver cutting-edge bioelectronic solutions to improve patient outcomes. As orthopedic procedures continue to rise in the U.S., the demand for effective, non-invasive solutions for post-surgical recovery is growing
