Smartee Denti-Technology has launched its AG KIDS craniofacial growth guidance system in Malaysia, expanding the company's paediatric dental technology portfolio in Southeast Asia.

The system is designed for growing patients and is intended to support clinicians in evaluating craniofacial development alongside airway and sleep-related considerations.

The Malaysian launch was accompanied by a clinical training programme attended by 130 dental professionals.

The programme, titled “Airway & Growth”, was led by Dr Yue Weng Cheu, Clinical Director of DP Dental in Singapore, who was among the clinical collaborators involved in developing AG KIDS.

Clinical discussions covered dentofacial and airway development in children and the role dental professionals can play in identifying potential abnormalities earlier.

The programme also introduced a three-domain screening approach incorporating assessment for sleep-related breathing concerns.

Where required, the pathway supports bidirectional referral between dental professionals, sleep physicians and ear, nose and throat specialists.

This reflects a wider shift towards multidisciplinary approaches to paediatric craniofacial development, where dental alignment is considered alongside airway function, sleep and facial growth.

AG KIDS is intended to provide clinicians with a structured framework for monitoring growth and identifying patients who may benefit from further evaluation or intervention.

The Malaysia launch expands Smartee's regional presence while providing local dental professionals with training on the clinical use of the system.

The company is developing its technology portfolio around digital orthodontics and craniofacial management across multiple age groups.
