Hospital Sant Pau and Huawei join forces to accelerate digital transformation in healthcare

Industry Leaders from Hospital de Sant Pau and Huawei today outlined a vision of how digital technology can make hospitals more efficient and improve patients' lives.

At an event held at the historic Sant Pau Art Nouveau site, Dr. Alfons Torrego, Medical Director at Sant Pau Hospital, discussed key advancements in digital transformation within the healthcare sector. Highlighting active projects, he outlined the ideal conditions for implementing digital health solutions.

Dr. Josep Munuera, Director of Diagnostic Imaging, emphasized AI’s role in enhancing diagnostics and precision medicine through advanced predictive models. Meanwhile, Dr. Abdel Hakim Moustafa, Director of the Dimension Lab, showcased innovations in 3D modeling and digital twins that are revolutionizing surgical planning.

Sant Pau’s collaboration with Huawei was spotlighted as a model for secure, efficient digital transformation. Huawei has equipped the hospital with an all-flash storage system featuring robust data protection, ensuring quick, secure access to patient data. This partnership is also featured in “Being Digi-Sapiens,” a documentary series supported by Warner Brothers Discovery.

Kenneth Fredriksen, Senior VP of Huawei Europe, emphasized Huawei's commitment to intelligent digital solutions, enhancing healthcare and connectivity across Europe. Huawei will unveil its New-Gen OceanStor Dorado All-Flash Storage solution at the upcoming HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 in Paris, advancing secure, high-speed data access for healthcare institutions.
