With the world celebrating World Radiography Day on November 8th, 2025, honoring the anniversary of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen’s discovery of X-Rays in the year 1895, a breakthrough in revolutionising medical diagnosis and treatment, Suraksha Diagnostic Limited, one of the leading diagnostics chains in Eastern India, reaffirms its commitment towards advancing patient care through AI driven radiography and precision imaging, marking a new chapter in India’s diagnostic evolution.
In earlier settings before the emergence of AI, radiologists could take a considerable amount of time in analysing complex scans under heavy workloads, with probability of delaying the process of disease detection, treatment planning and recovery. Currently with AI driven imaging systems, radiographic reports are generated and prioritised in real time which allows critical cases to be flagged with immediate effect. Moreover, AI tools improve mammography by supporting radiologists, enhancing cancer detection accuracy rates and reducing chances of errors such as false positives, false negatives, further helping to optimise workflow.
World Radiography Day recognises the important role played by radiographers and radiological technologists in the healthcare ecosystem, increase public understanding of the significance and advantages of medical imaging in patient care, promote radiography as a career, emphasising the high professional standards that is required in the field. This year the theme for World Radiography Day is ‘Radiographers: Seeing the Unseen’ underscoring the role played by radiographers in visualising conditions which are invisible to the naked eye, utilising advanced imaging techniques. The day is also recognised as the International Day of Radiology (IDoR), which is an initiative launched in 2012 by many key international radiological societies for raising awareness about the importance of medical imaging in modern healthcare.
The diagnostic imaging devices market in India is estimated to achieve an important milestone with projected revenue of $708.16 mn by 2025, demonstrating the increasing demand in the country for advanced medical imaging technology as per Statista. The market is also expected to exhibit a steady annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.53 per cent within 2025-2030, which indicates a promising future. By 2039, the market volume in India is projected to reach $971.69 mn, reflecting the growing adoption of diagnostics imaging devices market in the country. AI in medical imaging market is a rapidly growing sector, estimated to reach $307.8 million billion by 2030 with a CAGR of nearly 38.1 per cent within 2023 – 2030.
