Siemens Healthineers deploys AI-based multi-testing diagnostic analyser at Mahajan Imaging & Labs

06th August, 2024

India’s first AI-enhanced eco-friendly multi-testing diagnostic analyser

Siemens Healthineers, a global leader in medical diagnostics, has announced its pioneering implementation of the new Atellica CI, independent integrated diagnostic testing analyser at Mahajan Imaging & Labs, to make patient care more predictable and agile in today’s evolving healthcare landscape.

This state-of-the-art analyser is designed to significantly enhance patient comfort by providing faster, more accurate results.

The new Atellica CI analyser is a marvel of medical technology in a compact footprint, capable of analyzing over 200 parameters, covering 20 disease states. The analyser’s microvolume technology maximises test yield from a single sample aspiration. This feature is particularly beneficial for paediatric and critical cases where low-volume sample testing is essential.

The analyser’s ability to process critical tests within 14 minutes, compared to the conventional 22 to 40 minutes, sets a new standard for rapid diagnostics. Additionally, emergency assays can be aspirated in just one minute, with results completed in 10 minutes, further streamlining urgent care. The analyser features a novel 'Enhanced Liver Fibrosis (ELF)' test to augment prognosis of Liver Fibrosis, a huge disease burden in India.

Approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the analyser meets sustainability standards, utilizing less water, fewer tubes and generating less plastic waste. It supports advanced diagnostics with parameters such as FMF approved dual markers for maternal screening, AMH for assessing ovarian reserve, active vitamin B12, and ferritin testing for women's health; oncology markers that aid in the early detection of cancers like PSA (test used to screen for prostate cancer) and ovarian cancer. Enabled by advanced artificial inteligence (AI) technology, the system minimises manual errors, enhance operational efficiency, and ensures test accuracy, even after biotin or gummy intake, which many impact results from other machines. It also tests for active vitamin D levels, enhancing its versatility for comprehensive health monitoring.
